Covid-19 ALERT

Levi & Victoria's Story | Kids Eye Gear

Our little patcher Levi and his mate Catboy!

Levi was diagnosed with Amblyopia (otherwise known as – lazy eye) between the ages of 3-4. Craig and I decided ‘on a whim’ to book the whole family in for eye tests when Craig’s 2 year prescription check up was approaching.

This turned out to be one of the best things we did as Levi’s Left eye was actually shutting down and we had no idea! And Levi didn’t know any different as his brain favoured his Right eye, so to him, it was what he knew as normal.

Levi now patches every day for 2 hours to help improve his weaker eye.

When he patches he enjoys playing the PlayStation, colouring in and solving maths problems, all suggestions from his optometrist ☺️

Early eye tests can make a difference

If you have a child who has never had an eye test we strongly suggest you do, it is often something which isn’t obvious to detect and quite often too late to correct after age 8.

We love Kids Eye Gear and have found their patches amazing. Levi loves choosing what colour he wears for that day. We also love the Spec Stoppers that allow Levi to jump, run and roll without worrying that his glasses will fall off.
