Both my son and daughter have strabismus after being diagnosed very early in their life

Both my son and daughter have strabismus after being diagnosed very early in their life – at the same time. My son was 2.5 years old when he was diagnosed, and my baby daughter was also diagnosed. Despite testing, we never found if there was a specific cause for both children having the condition.

My son Frani was prescribed glasses at 2.5 years of age, he then had surgery and patched for 3 months. After wearing glasses for two years, his turn wasn’t improving so he had a second surgery which worked great and he now doesn’t need glasses anymore!

My daughter Cata has had strabismus since she was born. It was so strange because she was diagnosed at the same time as my son, despite the age difference. She has been wearing glasses since she was 9 months old and started patching around the age of 18 months. She still patches two hours a day, which we’re hoping will be stopping soon because she doesn’t like it!
