REAL STORY : Ever & Noelle

REAL STORY : Ever & Noelle

8th Sep 2021

My son Ever (9) has ASD, he’s on the spectrum and high functioning, he wears glasses, about a year ago he was diagnosed with anisometropic amblyopia. Which means one eye is significantly stronger than the other (vision wise). So for the last year he has been wearing adhesive eye patches on his stronger eye to school for 3 hours a day.

I’ve been very fortunate to find Kids Eye Gear, as the only adhesive eye patches we could find were a very pricey Italian import only found at our hospital chemist. Finding Kids Eye Gear’s site was wonderful & convenient.

Ever's Patch Journey

Being on the spectrum means that Ever is very sensitive to sensory issues, and patching has not been easy for us. We’ve struggled a lot, when we tried your fabric patches for the glasses, it was brilliant! He prefers it so much more, and has made the entire process so much easier! Thank you! Ever is on the older side, as patching usually stops by this age, but his eye has responded wonderfully and his prescription in both eyes has met up, which is the ideal. He is currently still patching, as he needs another 6 months or so to make sure it remains on par.
